THE WORLD'S SLIMMEST HOUSE

UNIQUE
HOMES
“Home sweet home”
as this saying shows, home is a place where people are able to go back. Usually, people are relaxed at home and they cherish their home very much. You can say:
“Home is where your heart is”
And it is true. For everyone home is important. There are only few people that prioritize other things more than a comfortable home, a cozy, safe and beautiful home. A saying is:
“The ache for home lives in all of us, the safe place where we can go as we are and not be questioned”
A house is made of bricks and beams. And a home is made of hopes and dreams. There are many people who try to fulfil their dreams an dtheir interests on their homes. Because they know:
Building a home is about desire, fantasy. But it’s achievable, and anyone can do it.
A home is a mirror. A reflection of you, your life and your style. So many people try to build some unique homes. Different people have different tastes when it comes to housing. Some people like small houses and some like big houses. The unusual houses attract everyone’s attention. That is why architects all over the world are competing who will make the most interesting and unusual house ever build. Now although living in it may not be pleasant they sure look fantastic.
While I searched, it struck me that some unusual houses too existed in this world. Although I found too much, here is the description of one of them.
THE WORLD’S SLIMMEST HOUSE:
It is also known as the Keret House. This space is used as artist’s residence. The artist lives there a few days. According to the size and structure of this space it can’t really be considered a full time residence. The architect that designed the space has been working at this project for 3 years and finds it very interesting. He was inspired by the work of Israeli writer, who writes extremely short stories.
The Keret House is in fact a very narrow space in between two buildings. It connects the buildings but, at the same time, it’s also independent from them. Since the size of the space represents a problem and an obstacle, making it feel airy and spacious is nearly impossible. But several solutions were found. For example, the transparent roof lets in lots of natural light and prevents the space from feeling cluttered and claustrophobic.
Moreover, the house has an open stairway and an entire wall of windows. In order to not interefere with the structure of neighbourhood, the house was built about 10 feet above from the ground. It’s 30 feet tall and it’s unofficially known as the world’s slimmest house.

I really want to visit this house. Do you?
